Malheur County Grasshopper and Mormon Cricket Cost Share Program

The 2024 Oregon Legislature and Oregon Department of Agriculture awarded $100,000
to Malheur County to support pest management initiatives that mitigate the impact of
grasshoppers and Mormon crickets on agricultural crops. Grant #: ODA-4525-
GR. Landowners within Malheur County may be reimbursed up to 75% of actual cost
for treatment, including cost of product and application cost. To be able to distribute
100% of available funds, Malheur County will distribute the funds among those
who apply for reimbursement. Because of this Malheur County cannot state a
specific reimbursement rate until we receive all reimbursement requests. The
County tried to make the application as simple as possible. However, some of the
application components are required under the grant award.
